2017, August 27: iPhone Walk About Capturing Portraits

Make great portraits of your favorite people with your iPhone!

Enjoy working in the National Portrait Gallery as Karen shows you how to understand the best light, apps and compositions for Portraits! We will work with several apps the enhance your photographic images and some that can convert your photos into painterly or sketch versions of your portraits.

This will be a fun interactive workshop as we will also explore some fabulous portraits in the gallery and discuss the artistic qualities of them to further enhance the students understanding.

She will show you how to make interesting compositions with the light you’re given to work with and demonstrate how to get great people shots.  Participants should be willing to be active portrait subjects for the workshop so look your best! You just might go home with a great portrait!

Apps that we will be covering include Camera+, Snapseed and some artistic apps by JixiPix. The full list and details about the apps will be included in your confirmation letter.

Participants of this class may also be interested in the iPhone Walk About classes where we’re out in the field shooting. This LINK will filter the iPhone classes so you can see them more easily.
