2017, September 17: Architectural Treasures of Sheradon - Kalorama

This safari- part of our architectural photography series -  begins with the magnificent Art Deco apartment buildings on Connecticut Avenue . We also photograph the stately Lothrop Mansion  and then wind our way through the back streets of Kalorama, past the French Ambassador's chateau-like residence, and past the very elegant homes and embassies that line the streets.

As a special treat we will also photograph the beautifully painted Fire Alarm call boxes, decorated by DC’s Art on Call.

About the Instructors: We are fortunate to have as our guide for this safari Kalorama Heights resident and Advisory Neighborhood Commissioner Ellen Goldstein who will take us to all the most photogenic sites, while professional architectural photographer and safari instructor  E. David Luria gives tips on architectural photography, composition, exposure and lighting. Wide-angle lenses recommended.
