Join us on the historic grounds of Manassas Battlefield Park and the historic Battle of Bull Run for a morning field shoot. Learn composition techniques to take thoughtful compelling pictures of historic structures, grasslands, and Bull Run creek.
We will visit different sections of this historic area including the Stone Bridge (built in 1825) that crosses Bull Run Creek, the Henry House, Sudley Springs and a few other choice locations.
Walking will be about a mile and a half split between all locations. We will be walking through the grasslands and beside the creek. We will drive and park at each location. All students will travel in their own car to each site.
The live Zoom session will be held on Sunday, Feb 28 at 9-10am. Lori will review creative editing techniques for historical places. Learn how to add light, atmosphere, and overall enhance your images in a creative manner. The zoom session will include a live editing demonstration using Lightroom, Photoshop or Luminar AI. Students will have time for Q/A throughout the session.
For best results, we recommend a digital SLR or Mirrorless camera, a zoom lens from wide-angle to telephoto (18-200mm) and a tripod with a cable release or remote.
NOte - For this class, students should be familiar with their cameras and exposure settings.
Class limit: 6
NOTE - Students will be required to follow COVID-19 Safety Practices, conduct a Self-Screening Health Assessment, and sign a Waiver of Liability prior to attending a class. These items can be reviewed on the class registration page.
