Josh will start with an overview of the best locations in and around D.C. to capture unforgettable holiday scenery and will also discuss how to get the most out of your shots. With his guidance and direction, you will take photos from key vantage points on the Mall before eventually walking to the Ellipse to capture shots of the White House and the National Christmas Tree.
You’ll create photographs that demonstrate your personal vision while using your own gear optimized for landscape and nighttime photography.

Recommended gear: Although any camera will do, for best results we recommend a DSLR or mirrorless camera with manual exposure controls. For lenses, bring a range from 24-200mm and 400-600mm. Consider renting a long telephoto lens if you don't already have one and explore the exciting opportunities they offer.
