This class is designed for those who have taken any of the Photography Basics classes and want the opportunity to work in the field to reinforce the material covered in the classroom. We’ve encouraged you to leave the Auto settings behind and to shoot in the Aperture Priority, Shutter Priority or Manual modes so now it’s time for some hands-on.

We begin near the Jefferson and then make our way to the Washington Monument and the World War II Memorial where we’ll find plenty of photo opportunities from architecture, statues, fountains, street scenes and more in the late afternoon light thru to the beautiful blue sky of twilight.

At the turn of the century in the early 1900s the Crown Cork and Seal company produced all of the bottle caps and tops that were needed for bottled goods being manufactured.  The company finally closed its doors in the 1950s but the buildings were never taken down.  Join Lewis Katz and photograph these old buildings and the architectural details they offer.

In this field shoot class, you will learn techniques to improve a photograph’s composition in Baltimore’s iconic harbor area. Join us as we explore Bar Harbor and the best of Acadia including Cadillac Mountain, Jordan Pond,  Otter Cliffs, Sand Beach and more.  Discover the ‘Quiet Side’ of Acadia with us and capture classic harbor views in Southwest Harbor and Bass Harbor including Bass Harbor Lighthouse.
