Join instructor Lori Lankford for Close Up Textures in the Garden. Learn how to add more creativity and depth to your images by focusing on textures.
This is a hands-on outdoor class where we will explore fall texture in the gardens, learning how to discover small details, depth, pattern, and color. Students will come away with techniques to use in any natural setting.
Lori will cover:
- The key elements of texture photography and how to find them in the garden.
- How to compose images in a creative way that showcases the depth, colors, and patterns.
- How to use light to increase the depth and dimension of the textured subject.
All camera types and skill levels are welcome. If using an interchangeable lens camera, lenses in the range of 50mm-150mm would work well. A Macro lens is ideal but is not required.
We will work without tripods for this class.
Class limit: 8
