This is a WORKSHOP not a class and is NOT eligible for the Thanksgiving Holiday Sale.
Each year in early spring, thousands of migrating Snow Geese arrive in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. Spending their days foraging on the corn fields, and roosting at night on the lake, these geese refuel before heading out on their last push north.
Join Emily Carter Mitchell in this overnight photography workshop to capture the thousands of Snow Geese on their migratory route.
There will be a pre-workshop presentation via Zoom on Thursday evening, 2/24. This will cover techniques are used to photograph birds and birds in flight in a variety of settings.
We'll begin our workshop at 2:00pm on 2/26. We will head out to the wildlife area and search for the flock and spend our time observing and capturing the geese staying through sunset.
On Sunday morning, we will capture the geese roosting on the lake before they flush up to forage on the fields. Following the morning shoot, we'll return to the hotel at 10:00.
On March 2, we will hold a post-workshop image review via Zoom. This will allow time to review your images and present them for the review.
• The type of equipment best suited for wildlife photography
• The selection of ISO and shutter speeds to maximizing your camera’s ability to capture birds in action.
• How to observe wildlife in action and discover their patterns and habits.
• How to pan and shoot with a moving subject.
• Techniques for bird in flight photography.
We hope you can join Emily for this special workshop!
