Creating A Photography Website

Whether you want to showcase your skills as a photographer or are a photo hobbyist who wants to share your work on a personal website, Adobe Portfolio gives you the tools you need.
Included with any Adobe Creative Cloud account, Portfolio is a great way to build a website with a professional look. If you want to showcase your skills as a photographer, an online portfolio is an essential piece of your toolkit.
Bring your best photographs and join Rick Frankle as he guides you through the creation of your website from start to finish.
Topics include;
- The differences between a Professional Portfolio and a Photo Gallery which is best for you.
- Planning and building the site.
- Navigating the Adobe Portfolio interface.
- Choosing a theme, creating a Welcome page, adding your images, creating your Collections.
- Adding text and captions.
- Tips for maintaining and updating your page.
Rick will also share information on integrating Adobe Portfolio with Lightroom, Behance, and selling images in Adobe Stock.
This class is taught as a 2.5 hour in-person session and a follow-up session on Zoom. In the in-person portion Rick will demonstrate and walk you through starting your webpage and getting it set up. Students will bring their own laptop or computer with 10-15 images to work with.

Rick Frankle worked as a teacher and computer specialist in the Howard County, Maryland Public School System for over 30 years. He earned a Master’s Degree in Educational Technology Leadership with a focus on multimedia development from The George Washington University. He was named as Outstanding Educator by the Howard County Chamber of Commerce.
Class Cancellation Policy
- A refund or a credit towards another class (less a $20 processing fee) can be given if cancellation notice is given more than 5 business days from the scheduled class.
- If there is no cancellation notice, or it is given 5 business days or less, no refund or credit will be given.
- Please check the name and date of the class carefully. Requests to reschedule a class will incur a $20 processing fee provided notice is given more than 5 business days prior to the class. If request to reschedule is given less than business 5 days prior to the class, no refund or credit will be given.
- If Capital Photography Center cancels or postpones a class due to weather or low enrollment, you can choose a full refund or a credit towards a future class.
